Indy films worth going the extra mile for

Upcoming Indy film trailers that keep us wanting more, and willing to go the extra mile to find a theater close enough to enjoy them.

All of the trailers I am listing are of course Sundance selections as well.

The first trailer is "For Ellen"

This new Indy film stars Paul Dano and Jon Heder. Most people would recognize Paul Dano from "Little Miss Sunshine" and most recently the film him and his wife brought to light "Ruby Sparks", and of course people would recognize Jon Heder from "Napolean Dynamite". Heder takes on a more serious role in this movie titled "For Ellen"

While this trailer was barely two minutes long I can already grasp the lost in the eye's of Dano's character as well as the growing relationship between young father and his innocent daughter. I think its about time Dano receives the oscar nomination he has been looked past at since his role in "Little Miss Sunshine."

The second trailer is "Hello I must be going"

Melanie Lynskey leads this ensemble with what seems to be an already underrated performance. The simplicity of a marriage that didn't work out and the common relativity of a young adult moving back home with her parents is really captured by Lynskey. Movies that can be relatable are often the hardest roles to achieve.

As seen in the trailer Blythe Danner takes time away from her roles in "Meet the Parents" and puts her career back in the positive light it was once in.

The third trailer is "Nobody Walks"

Thank you Lena Dunham. Yet again you have succeeded. If Dunham's name sounds familiar its because of her most recent success as the producer, writer, and star of HBO's "Girls," it looks like she has continued her career in the successful path she has already started walking in.

This movie stars the likes of John Krasinski, Olivia Thirbly, Justin Kirk, and Rosemarie Dewitt. The cast is really phenomenal as already seen in the trailer. Krasinski and Thirblys tension really keeps  audience at there feet within just minutes.

This concept a little more complex then the last two trailers, "Nobody Walks" seems to mean more then is met at first glance. It seems that the idea of this movie portrays the willingness to keep and grow passion for two different beings and form relationships way ahead of your time is while relatable, also very disturbing in more ways then one.

I'll leave you with a quote read out loud from Dunham herself at the end of the "Nobody Walks" trailer.

"I see you with the accurate eyes of the sun you will never have anything or anyone you want. Least of all..me"
